honorable mentions
to the 2010
Consensus Draft
Services Preseason
All-America teams.
The four from UAM to
earn the honors
include senior
quarterback Scott
Buisson, senior
wide receiver
Jywin Ceaser,
senior linebacker
Carlton Johnson
and junior punter
Derek Jambon.

Buisson
(Metairie, La.)
became UAM’s career
total offense leader
in 2009 and
currently has a
total of 9,982 yards
of total offense,
including 7,653
passing yards and
2,329 rushing yards.
He is 211 passing
yards away from
tying a school
record. He ranks
eighth in UAM
history in rushing
yards. Buisson was
the 2008 GSC
Offensive Player of
the Year and the
2007 GSC Freshman of
the Year.
In 2009, Ceaser
(Marrero, La.)
was selected to the
All-GSC 2nd Team and
the Don Hansen’s
Football Gazette
All-Region 2nd Team.
He was also the
Little Rock
Touchdown Club pick
as UAM’s Most
Valuable Player in
2009 after finishing
the season ranked
6th in the GSC in
receptions per game
(6.10), 4th in
receiving yards per
game (88.5) and 10th
in all-purpose yards
per game (93.7).
Overall, he caught
61 passes for 885
yards with five
touchdown catches to
become just the
second receiver at
UAM since 2005 to
record more than 800
receiving yards in a
season.
Johnson
(Panama City, Fla.)
earned All-GSC 1st
Team honors in 2009
and was a 3rd team
selection to the
Don Hansen’s
Football Gazette
All-South Region
squads. Johnson had
an impressive junior
campaign, racking up
a team-high 81
tackles (42 solo),
including 3.5
tackles for a
combined loss of 21
yards. Of those
tackles for a loss,
he picked up 2.5
sacks for a loss of
18 yards and also
recorded five pass
deflections, one
quarterback hurry
and forced one
fumble. He finished
the season ranked
7th in the GSC in
total tackles.
Jambon
(Marrero, La.)
finished the 2009
season ranked 2nd in
the GSC with an
average of 40.7
yards per punt and
had a total of 51
punts for 2,077
yards with his
longest punt of the
year going 64 yards.
