MATT MIDDLETON
Offensive Coordinator

    

     Taking over the helm at offensive coordinator is Matt Middleton. Middleton has been coaching for seven years, all on the offensive side of the ball. Most recently, Middleton was the head football coach and athletic director at Cenla Christian Academy in Pineville, La. There, he brought the first year program to a No. 4 ranking in the state.
 
    
Prior to Cenla, Middleton was the head football coach and athletic director at Caldwell Parish High School in Columbia, La., where he turned a 1-9 team into an 8-3 team in his first season. His offense at CPHS averaged just over 40 points per game and averaged 495 yards of total offense per game. He led CPHS to its 5th playoff appearance in 44 years, 2nd playoff appearance in the last 18 years, and 2nd winning season in the last 18 years.
 
     Middleton has spent time at the collegiate level. In 2004, Middleton served a brief term as wide receivers coach and assistant recruiting coordinator at NCAA Division II perennial powerhouse Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Mich. Prior to that, Middleton spent two seasons as an undergraduate assistant coach at Louisiana Tech, aiding in the team’s 2001 Western Athletic Conference Championship.
 
     Middleton is a graduate of Louisiana Tech and has two sons, Luke and Cade.
