Cedro

The nickname of former UAM quarterback David Anderson, who set the standard for Boll Weevil quarterbacks during his career from 1948-51. Anderson still holds the school records for completion percentage for a career (.738) and season (.784). Anderson took his nickname from a matinee movie character known as "Cedro the Mexican Bandit." Anderson was inducted into the charter class of the UAM Sports Hall of Fame in 2000.
