MEDIA INFORMATION
Credentials:
With the exception of football, members of the
media are not required to wear media passes. Any member of the press
wishing to cover a sporting event at UAM must contact the Sports
Information Director no later than 24 hours prior to the event to
request seating space. Seating is extremely limited and will be
allocated as requests are received. If no request is made to cover an
event, coverage will not be allowed without express permission. Gulf
South Conference media passes will be given to select members of the
active media. These passes must be accompanied with a photo
identification card.
Seating: At
football games, all media with the exception of visiting radio, will be
seated on the second floor of the home-side press box. Visiting radio
will be seated in the visitor's side press box. At basketball/volleyball
games, all media will be seated at press row on the east side of the
court. At baseball/softball games, media will either be seated in the
press box or at tables along the fence behind home plate.
Radio:
Requests to broadcast a UAM sporting event must be made to the Sports
Information Director at least ONE WEEK in advance. Two courtesy lines
are provided by the University for use by UAM’s official designated
broadcast outlet and the official designated broadcast outlet of each
opponent. Due to limited seating, only those outlets are guaranteed an
opportunity to broadcast. |
