season after being named the 2007 GSC West Player of the Year.
She was also named to the 2007 All-South Region First Team,
Daktronics All-America Third Team, and NFCA All-America
First Team. Heckel has been named to the All-GSC First Team
each season.
2007: led the team in batting with a
.438 batting average...smashed 22 home runs, which was a UAM
single season record. Her 22 home runs also vaulted her to the
top of the leader board with 36 career home runs, with a season
still to play...also in 2007, she collected 20 doubles, two
triples, and 65 RBI...only committed two errors in 65 games at
first base.
2006: played in 60 games at first
base...finished the season with a .356 batting average...hit
eight home runs, 11 doubles, and collected 37 RBI...only
committed six errors.
2005: played in 47 games a
freshman...finished with a .364 batting average...hit six home
runs, seven doubles, and collected 30 RBI...only committed three
errors.
