UAM VOLLEYBALL CONCLUDES REGULAR SEASON WITH FIVE-SET WIN OVER CBU

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -
The University of Arkansas at Monticello volleyball team conluded the 2009 regular season with a five-set win over Christian Brothers Saturday at Canale Arena.

Final game scores were 21-25, 22-25, 25-21, 25-15 and 15-11. With the win, UAM ends the season with a 17-17 overall record and a 9-3 record in the Gulf South Conference-West Division. CBU drops to 17-15 overall and 5-7 in the GSC-West.

Five Cotton Blossoms reached double-digits in the win with freshman Amanda Dills leading the way with 15 kills, seniors Mallory Storm and Nicole Ferguson with 14, senior Cayla Knapp with 11 and junior Keri Gilbert with 10.

Defensively, Storm led the match with nine total blocks and also recorded one dig in the win.

The Cotton Blossoms have clinched the No. 2 seed in the GSC-West for next weekend's GSC Championship Tournament in Searcy, Ark. at Harding University. UAM plays the No. 3 seed from the GSC-East, North Alabama on Friday, November 13 at Rhodes Field House starting at noon.
