of Arkansas at Monticello men’s basketball
team suffered a loss at the hands of
Valdosta State in the Gulf South Conference
Championship Tournament by a final score of
66-53.

Both
basketball teams at the University of
Arkansas at Monticello have been ranked in
the top 10 of the NCAA South Region Rankings
in the final rankings before this Sunday’s
selection into the regional tournament.

For just the
seventh time in the program’s history, the
University of Arkansas at Monticello men’s
basketball team has recorded 20 wins in a
season thanks to a 76-63 win over Montevallo
in the opening round of the 2009 Gulf South
Conference Championship Tournament.
