Searcy, Ark. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello football team was downed by Bisons of Harding University in a GAC match-up Saturday evening with a final score of 56-46.

• Senior Jalen Tolliver broke the UAM record for most receiving touchdowns in a game with 5 total on the night.
• Jalen Tolliver  recorded the most receiving yards by a UAM senior with 245 yards in the match-up as well. 
• UAM's record falls to 2-3 (2-3 GAC) overall in 2017.
• Harding improves to 2-3 (2-3 GAC) this season.
   

• The Weevils opened up the match-up with a 35 yard pass from Cole Sears to Jalen Tolliver on the first UAM drive of the ball game to take an early 6-0 lead over the Bisons. 
• The Bisons fired back however with two unanswered scores of their own to jump out to a 14-6 lead by the opening quarter's end.  
  
   

• Arkansas-Monticello poured on its offensive attack with two touchdowns through the air, both caught by Jalen Tolliver with the first from Terry Bozeman and the second from Sears. 
• The TD pass from Sears to Tolliver was also a 36 yard heave to the end-zone with time expiring in the opening half to give UAM the half time lead of 18-14. 
   

• UAM was able to find an answer to Harding's scoring attack, as Deountario Brown ripped off a 81 yard touchdown run early on in the second half to reclaim the lead for the Weevils at 25-21.
• Arkansas-Monticello built off its momentum following Brown's big run, with Tolliver pulling down his fourth touchdown of the night from 20 yards out to put the Weevil lead at 32-21 over the Bisons. 

• Harding unfortunately found a scoring explosion in the final quarter of play as they totaled 21 unanswered points against UAM to jump out to a 42-32 lead with 7:23 left in the ball game. 
• Tolliver would not be finished in the contest as he recorded his fifth total receiving touchdown to close the gap to just 42-38, this TD by Jalen also broke the UAM single game record for receiving touchdowns with the previous record set at four. 
• The Bisons went on to seal the game off with two straight touchdowns on the ground, and despite a final score through the air by the Weevils, Harding would take this game by a final score of 56-46 in Searcy.

• Cole Sears:  22-of-31, 338 passing yards, 5 passing touchdowns, 38 rushing yards
• Deountario Brown:  4 carries, 89 rushing yards, and 1 rushing touchdown

• UAM will next take on the Wonder Boys of Arkansas Tech in Monticello, Arkansas at Cotton Boll Stadium on Saturday, October 7 with kick off scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
