MONTICELLO — The University of Arkansas at Monticello football team looks to keep its winning streak alive as the Weevils travel to Arkadelphia, Arkansas to face the Tigers of Ouachita Baptist this Saturday, October 28.

UAM VS. OUACHITA | HISTORY
Saturday's game against Ouachita Baptist University will be the 77th all-time meeting between the Weevils and the Tigers on the football gridiron, representing the third-most played opponent in school history, trailing only Southern Arkansas (91) and Henderson State (82). The Tigers have won six straight over the Weevils, including last season's 34-26 game played in Monticello. The last win for UAM in the OBU series was a 37-31 victory over the Tigers in Arkadelphia during the 2010 season.
LEADING THE WAY
UAM currently leads the Great American Conference in multiple categories including total team offense (472.8 yards per game), total team pass defense (181.1 yards allowed per game), first downs (25.6 per game), and wide-receiver Jalen Tolliver leads the GAC in total receiving yards, total receptions, receiving yards per game, and total receiving touchdowns. Jeremy Jackson also leads the GAC in passes defended with 13 passes broken up, and 15 total passes defended.
SCOUTING THE TIGERS
Ouachita is led offensively by Drew Harris who has totaled 271 rushing yards this season, along with 14 rushing touchdowns. Harris has also recorded 30 receptions for 533 yards, and three receiving TD's. Quarterback Austin Warford guides this offense as well with 1,562 passing yards, seven touchdowns, and is the teams' leading rusher with 535 yards on the ground, and three rushing touchdowns.
Defensively the Tigers are anchored by Elijah Jones with a team-high 64 total tackles, with 7.0 tackles for loss, and two interceptions. John Rachal leads OBU in sacks with 3.5 overall, and 34 total tackles. Keandre Evans leads the secondary with nine passes deflected and seven passes broken up, with two interceptions, both of which were returned for touchdowns.
LAST TIME OUT
Arkansas-Monticello defeated GAC opponent Southern Nazarene at home during the annual homecoming match-up for the Weevils by a final score of 35-23. UAM was led offensively by running back Imani Riley with 107 rushing yards on 15 carries and one rushing touchdown. Trevon Smith, Jamal Chevis, and Austin Harris each totaled one receiving touchdown a piece as well. Defensively Hakim Gray (7 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 4.0 TFL), and Anthony Walker (1.5 sacks, 6 tackles, 3.0 TFL) guided the Weevil defensive effort in securing the third straight victory for UAM this season.

The Weevils will take on the Reddies of Henderson State on Saturday, November 4 in Monticello, Arkansas in what will be senior day as UAM plays its' final home game of the 2017 season inside Cotton Boll Stadium, with kick-off set for 3:00 PM.
