MONTICELLO — The University of Arkansas at Monticello football team will look to rebound this week as they will face Great American Conference opponent Harding this Saturday, September 30 on the road in Searcy, Arkansas.
Kick-off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. in Searcy, at First Security Stadium. The game can be heard on the UAM Sports Network at KHBM-FM 93.7 in Monticello, watched online and followed with live stats at

UAM VS. HARDING | HISTORY
The Weevils and the Bisons will meet for the 53rd time this Saturday, in a series that dates back to 1960 when the teams first met. Harding currently holds a slight advantage over UAM in the all-time series record at 28-24, and have won seven straight over the Weevils, including last year's 57-7 victory in Monticello.
SCOUTING THE BISONS
The Bisons of Harding enter week five after picking up its first win of the 2017 season on the road against Oklahoma Baptist University, by a final score of 45-14. Leading the offensive squad for HU has been quarterback Terrence Dingle who has totaled 245 passing yards and two passing touchdowns on the year. Dingle also has racked up 202 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on the ground. Running backs Zach Shelley, and Cole Chancey have provided much of the offense as well with Shelley totaling 283 rushing yards, and Chancey recording 217 yards on the ground, along with three rushing scores.
On the defensive side of the ball, Harding is led by junior linebacker Sam Blankenship who has totaled 33 tackles up to this point in the year, along with 3.5 tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks, and one forced fumble. Dra Smith is HU's next leading tackler with 17 total on the season, with one fumble recovery and one pass deflected. Defensive back V'Onte Williams anchors the Bisons secondary with a team high two interceptions in 2017, and is the team leader in passes deflected with four, and passes broken up with two.
LAST TIME OUT
UAM was taken down on the road by the Savage Storm of Southeastern Oklahoma State in Durant, Oklahoma by a final score of 41-21. Leading the Weevils in the match-up was running-back Imani Riley who totaled a season high 93 rushing yards, and provided one rushing touchdown also. Wide receiver Ralph Singleton also notched a rushing touchdown for 23 yards as well. Defensively UAM was led by Gabe Brace, who totaled nine tackles in the game, Anthony Walker, who recorded 1.5 sacks in the contest, and finally Christian Jefferson, who intercepted his first pass of 2017 in the match-up.

The Weevils will take on nationally ranked #11 Arkansas Tech in Monticello, Arkansas inside Cotton Boll Stadium on Satu rday, October 7 with kick-off scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
