Cole Sears named GAC Co Offensive Player of the Week

On Monday the Great American Conference announced that senior quarterback Cole Sears of Hoxie, Arkansas had been named the Co-Offensive Player of the Week (week 8).
 
Cole Sears led the UAM offense to their third-straight victory (fourth win of the season). Sears launched the pigskin last Saturday for 412 yards in the Weevils 45-37 homecoming victory against Oklahoma Baptist. He made 21-of-38 passes complete and scored four touchdowns through the air. Sears has passed former Northwestern Oklahoma State quarterback Reid Miller and is now in fifth place on the GAC's all-time passing yards list.

The Weevil football team is at home again this week as they take on Ouachita Baptist University.
