MONTICELLO, Ark. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello Boll Weevil Football Team is set to host the Tigers of Great American Conference member East Central University on Saturday, September 30. This weekend's game will also be the Homecoming Game, sponsored by Ryburn Automotive and Commercial Bank, with kickoff is set for 2:00 p.m.
The Boll Weevils are coming off a hard-fought 45-25 loss at home against GAC powerhouse Ouachita Baptist University last weekend. UAM currently ranks first in the Great American Conference in passing offense and fifth in pass efficiency behind the arm of quarterback
Demilon Brown, who threw for 247 yards passing and an efficiency rating of 129.6 last weekend. Brown is also first in the conference in total offense with 1,269 yards on the season.
The top receiver for the Weevils is
Nick Howard who ranks third in the GAC in total receiving yards, and fifth in receptions per game, following his four reception, 62 yard game last weekend. UAM sits third in the GAC in scoring points per contest, falling behind Harding University, and fifth in yards with 414.5 per game.
Defensively, the Weevils are surrendering 37.3 points and 373.5 yards per contest. The leading tackler for the Weevils is Jekerrias Scott, who has 21 total tackles, with 12 solo stops and 1.5 sacks.

THE MATCHUP
The University of Arkansas at Monticello Boll Weevil Football team hosts East Central University today for the Homecoming Game at Willis "Convoy" Leslie Cotton Boll Stadium, sponsored by Ryburn Automotive and Commercial Bank!
UAM sits behind in the all-time series, 5-11 against East Central University since the teams first met over 50 years ago in 1969. The Weevils are 5-5 against the Tigers at Willis "Convoy" Leslie Cotton Boll Stadium all-time. The Weevils look to take down the Tigers for the first time since the 2019 season.
LAST MEETING
Arkansas-Monticello lost on the road to ECU in 2022 in a low-scoring game, with the final concluding 16-0. The Weevil defense held the Tigers to only one touchdown and three field goals, but the offense never found their stride. UAM had only 164 total yards on offense. Quarterback Edwin Kleinpeter passed for 59 yards with a completion rate of 11-for-25. Caleb Jacobs led the Weevil receiving core as he pulled in three passes for 16 yards. Gary Ferman lead the running game with nine attempts for 42 yards.
ON-FIELD ACCESS
Authorized UAM personnel and stand-by medical staff are the only ones with on-field access during the Weevil Football games. All other unauthorized personnel are required to stay within the stands. The following are prohibited at Willis "Convoy" Leslie Cotton Boll Stadium:

RESTROOMS
Restrooms for all fans are on the opposite side of the UAM Indoor Practice Facility as the field. There are also portable bathrooms available behind the UAM student-section on the south side of the home stands.
