Weevils Leave Arkadelphia with a Loss to Henderson State

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello football team traveled to Henderson State University on Saturday afternoon. The contest concluded with a 42-7 loss for UAM.

Senior quarterback Demilon Brown gave UAM a 9-15 performance with 102 passing yards on the night. Brown was also the leading rusher for the Boll Weevils, running the ball for 30 net yards. Isaiah Cross was the leading receiver in the game, grabbing four receptions for 49 total yards, with the longest being 32 yards

Defensively, Lawaun Powell stood above the rest, grabbing eight total tackles, with five solo stops on the afternoon.

Dylan Duhon kicked the loan PAT on the day.

Post Game
Boll Weevil Head Coach Hud Jackson had this to say after the game: "All about opportunities. We got the game to 7 to 7 and gave up a big return which took momentum away from us. We were bad on third down offensively and pretty good on defense. I felt 3rd down was going to be the difference in the game, and it was. This team must take advantage of all opportunities to be in the game. Now we have to get ready for the next game. Home game to celebrate our military, and we have to do it right. We're not going to feel sorry for ourselves. Going to work and going to find a way. Eat'em up!"
