MONTICELLO, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello football team travels to Arkadelphia, Arkansas this weekend to take on Ouachita Baptist University for week four of the 2024 season.
The Boll Weevils are currently sitting 2-2, following a road loss to Ouachita Baptist in week four. Monticello sits sixth in the GAC in scoring and total offense, averaging 22.5 points per contest and 331.5 yards per game. The Boll Weevils land fifth in the conference in rushing, posting 592 total yards and averaging 148 on the ground per game. Defensively, UAM ranks in total defense, surrendering 344.3 yards per contest, and 12th in scoring defense, allowing 36.8 points per game. Offensively, running back
Tyler Reed leads the running-game, averaging 63 yards a contest.
Isaiah Cross is the second-ranked target in the GAC, totaling 248 yards on 13 receptions for an average of 62 yards per game.

THE MATCHUP
The University of Arkansas at Monticello Football team is traveling to East Central for the 10th time in program history. The teams have met 17 times, in total, since 1969, with the first meeting held in Monticello. The result was a 47-14 loss for the Boll Weevils.
LAST MEETING
Arkansas-Monticello lost to East Central, 35-28 at home in 2023. The Boll Weevils tabbed 352 yards of total offense, recording four touchdowns in that contest.
Buddy Taylor led the air attack, connecting with 22-40 attempts for 217 yards.
Kristian Gammage led the team on the ground, rushing for a net of 68 yards in the contest, with a long of 38 yards.
All-TIME SERIES
UAM trails in the all-time series, 5-12, with the last win for the Boll Weevils in 2019. Monticello is 1-8 on the road against East Central, with the loan win being a 35-21 victory in 1988. The largest margin of victory for the Weevils came during the 2017 season with a 49-7 win. The Weevils average 23.18 points against the Tigers.
