NEWTON, Kan. – The Arkansas-Monticello women's golf team played in day two of the Newman Invitational at the Sand Creek Station Golf Club in Newton, Kansas on Tuesday afternoon. The Blossoms finished the tournament in 8th place overall, with a combined score of 667.
Chiara Sturaro led the Blossoms throughout the entire tournament, closing out day one with a 78 and day two with an 80. Sturaro closed out the tournament in 15th place, with a total score of 158.
Mekdes Rozas was next on the leader board, finishing the tournament scoring an 83. She left the final day tied for 19th place overall with a total score of 161.
Natalie Van Dort followed close behind, finishing the tournament scoring an 82. She left the final day tied for 26th place overall with a total score of 165.
Ximena Paz scored a 94 on day two of the tournament, securing her spot in 47th after her final 18 holes.
Anna Beth Reynolds closed the tournament in 48th place, dropping her score from day one by shooting a 107.
