BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – The Arkansas-Monticello women's golf team played in day one of the 2024 Great American Conference Championship Tournament at the Golf Club at Forest Ridge on Sunday afternoon. The Blossoms finished the opening round tied for 8th place overall, alongside Southern Arkansas with a team score of 331.
Natalie Van Dort led the Blossoms throughout the opening round of the tournament, closing out day one with a 80 to tie for 21st place.
Chiara Sturaro was next on the leader board, shooting a 82 in her first round. She left day one tied for 29th.
Mekdes Rozas was the third Blossoms to compete, shooting an 84 in round one to finish the day tied for 33rd.
Ximena Paz followed close behind, scoring an 81 and an 80 in the first two rounds. She shot an 84 on day two of the tournament, finishing the tournament tied for 67th after her final 18 holes.
Robbi Jo Freeman finished the opening round in 50th place after carding a 100 in her first round.
