Week 9 Preview: Weevil Football to Host SWOSU for Senior Day

MONTICELLO, Ark. -- The University of Arkansas at Monticello football team will host the Bulldogs of Southwestern Oklahoma State University on Saturday, Nov. 1st. The teams will see an early 2 p.m. kickoff at Willis "Convoy" Leslie Cotton Boll Stadium.

The Boll Weevils head into the weekend following a tough road loss to the Harding Bisons in Week 8, falling 55-0. UAM now holds a 2-6 record after three straight losses to Harding, Ouachita Baptist, and Oklahoma Baptist. The Weevils are hoping to bounce back with a home win this week, their first since Week 5.

Southwestern Oklahoma State sits 4-4 on the year, and is coming to Monticello off a 38-14 win over East Central last week.

"We are looking forward to the opportunity to play Southwestern Oklahoma," said Head Coach Hud Jackson. "We had another great week of practice. Had to deal with a little bit of rain, which allowed us to go into our indoor practice facility. Looking forward to celebrating our seniors this weekend. Nothing would be better than to get a win for our last home game of the year. Eat'em up!"
