MONTICELLO, Ark. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello Athletics Department is excited to unveil the latest facility update. Athletic Communications will see an upgrade with the addition of the new Beth Maxwell Media Center, announced UAM Athletic Director Hud Jackson.

The new media center is a complete renovation of the old pool pump room, completely transforming a space that has sat unused for years.

  

After months of planning, construction, and fundraising, the department will see an area dedicated to athletic communications. The space will be used as a studio for team headshots, media days, conference interviews, and podcasts for an inside look at UAM Athletics.

"We are over the moon with being able to name our new media center after Mrs. Beth Maxwell," said Coach Jackson. "The Maxwell family has been huge supporters of our university and our athletic department. Mr. Tommy was one of the first people I met when I interviewed for the job in 2010, and I knew that he was a great family man just from that one interaction. Miss Beth was always about the Boll Weevils and the Blossoms and was a huge supporter of everything we did in athletics. It is truly an honor to have her name on that building forever."
