 The University of Arkansas at Monticello football team will host the Tigers of East Central on Saturday, Sept. 13. The teams will see a 6 p.m. kickoff at Willis "Convoy" Leslie Cotton Boll Stadium for the 2025 home opener.

The Boll Weevils head into the weekend after a tough road loss against Southeastern Oklahoma State in week one, where they dropped the contest 44-13. UAM is currently holding a 0-1 record for the first time since 2018, when they lost the season opener on the road to the Bulldogs of Southwestern Oklahoma State.
Visiting opponent East Central is coming off an impressive 24-22 win over GAC powerhouse Ouachita Baptist in week one. The Tigers are sitting 1-0 to open the year for the first season since 2017, when they began the campaign with a 55-34 victory over the Bison of Oklahoma Baptist in Shawnee.

The University of Arkansas at Monticello Football team hosts East Central University this evening at Willis "Convoy" Leslie Cotton Boll Stadium for the 2025 Parents and Family Day / First Responders Appreciation Day, sponsored by Union Bank.

LAST MEETING
Arkansas-Monticello lost to East Central during the 2024 season, dropping the game, 17-42 on the road. The Boll Weevils tabbed 377 yards of total offense, recording two touchdowns in that contest.
Buddy Taylor led the air attack, connecting with 21-25 attempts for 224 yards. He hit both LaCedric Smith and Javonnie Gibson for touchdowns. Taylor also led the team on the ground, rushing for a net of 31 yards in the contest, with a long of 14 yards and a touchdown.Â
All-TIME SERIES
UAM trails in the all-time series, 5-13, with four of the last five match-ups between the two resulting in a loss for Monticello. The Boll Weevils are 4-4 at home against East Central, with the last win in Monticello coming in 2019 on a 49-46 victory. The largest margin of victory for the Weevils came during the 2017 season with a 49-7 win. The Weevils average 22.83 points against the Tigers.

The Boll Weevils are currently sitting 0-1, following a loss to Southeastern in week one. Monticello sits tied for ninth in the GAC in scoring and ninth in total offense, averaging 13 points per contest and 281 yards of offense per game. The Boll Weevils land eleventh in the conference in rushing, posting 49 total yards against the Savage Storm. Defensively, UAM ranks ninth in total defense, surrendering 423.0 yards per contest, and 11th in scoring defense, allowing 48.0 points per game. Offensively, running back

Chasden Collins are the top targets in the receiving game for UAM, with Cox totaling 75 yards on 2 receptions and Collins totaling 62 yards on 5 receptions.

The University of Arkansas at Monticello Athletics Department is excited to welcome fans for tailgating during the 2025 football season. With the season returning in less than two weeks, UAM Athletics is excited for fans to return to tailgate row supporting the Boll Weevils!
Tailgating has been a massive part of Weevil Football history and is a tradition we hope to continue on game days. From the Walk-of-Champions to the Homecoming parade, UAM is overjoyed for the new year.

WALK OF CHAMPIONS
Weevil Football's traditional 'Walk of Champions' will be held two and a half hours before kick-off. The Boll Weevils will travel down Tailgate Row, along with the UAM cheer team and band, approaching Willis "Convoy" Leslie Cotton Boll Stadium.
Fans are encouraged to cheer on the team, but not to interrupt the event.

ON-FIELD ACCESS
Authorized UAM personnel and stand-by medical staff are the only ones with on-field access during the Weevil Football games. All other unauthorized personnel are required to stay within the stands. The following are prohibited at Willis "Convoy" Leslie Cotton Boll Stadium:

RESTROOMS
Restrooms for all fans are on the opposite side of the UAM Indoor Practice Facility as the field. There are also portable bathrooms behind the UAM student section on the south side of the home stands.
