MONTICELLO, Ark. --
The University of Arkansas at Monticello football team will host the Reddies of Henderson State on Saturday, Sept. 20. The teams will see a 6 p.m. kickoff at Willis "Convoy" Leslie Cotton Boll Stadium.
The Boll Weevils head into the weekend after a tough home opener loss to East Central in week two, where they dropped the contest 38-13. UAM currently holds a 0-2 record for the first time since 2015, when they lost back-to-back games to Northwestern Oklahoma State and Southwestern Oklahoma State University to open the season.
Henderson State sits 2-0 on the year, and is coming to Monticello off a 28-14 win over Oklahoma Baptist last week.
"We are looking forward to this opportunity to play a really good Henderson State team," said Head Coach
Hud Jackson.
"We had a great week of practice and our guys know we can be better. The key to this is holding onto the football and trying to create some turnovers on defense. when people talk about, you have to be good in all three phases of the game That is very, very true. We have to take advantage of any opportunity that comes our way and if we do that, then we've got a chance. Eat'em Up!"
