TULSA, Okla. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello Women's Golf Team sits in sixth place after round one of the NSU Women's Classic at the Page Belcher Golf Course in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Monday.
The Blossoms posted a team score of 305, 21-over par. Harding, Arkansas-Fort Smith, and Rogers State finished tied atop the leader board after day one at 15-over par (299). The Blossoms are trailing fellow Great American Conference member Oklahoma Baptist, who sits in fifth, by two shots.
Tori Milton once again led the opening day for the Blossoms, finishing tied for seventh at 1-over par (72).
Renata Abad finished 3-over par (74), leaving the first round tied for 13th.
Natalie Van Dort shot an 78 on the day, concluding day one tied for 35th.
Faith Hendren finished 10-over par (81) and is tied for 56th.
Kenzie McCleny rounded out the first day currently tied for 61st, sitting at 11-over par (82).
Through round one, the Blossoms combined for seven birdies, with Abad leading the day with four.
The Blossoms will play the final round of the tournament on Tuesday, September 9, at 9:30 a.m.
