MONTICELLO, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello men's cross country will welcome Texas native Aidan Tinker to the team for the 2026 season, as announced Friday.
"I am very excited to have Aidan join the UAM Cross Country program," said head coach Jacob Chism.
"He is a great runner with a strong background in distance running who has improved a lot in the past year or so. More importantly, he is a great kid with a great family. He's excited to take on the challenge of rebuilding the Cross Country program at UAM. Where others may not be up to the task, he is excited about the possibility that is before us to rebuild the program and leave his mark here at the university. He's going to have a great career here, and I can't wait to get him on campus and get to work."
Tinker joins the Weevils in the fall and will compete for UAM throughout the semester. He comes to Monticello from Waco, Texas, where he currently attends Midway High School. Tinker holds a personal record time of 16:23 for three miles.
