ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello football team continued its 2026 campaign on Saturday evening, traveling to Carpenter-Haygood Stadium at GeoSurfaces Field for a Great American Conference matchup with Henderson State University. The Weevils battled the Reddies throughout the night before ultimately falling, 35-24.
Arkansas-Monticello produced 421 yards of total offense in the contest, rushing for 218 yards while adding 203 through the air. The Weevils picked up 25 first downs and held possession for 32:17.
Quarterback Drew Forkner completed 18-of-30 passes for 203 yards and a touchdown. DT McCoy led the receiving corps with four catches for 70 yards, including a game-long 42-yard reception. Isaiah Roberts hauled in five passes for 45 yards and UAM's lone receiving touchdown, while Drew Dronet added three receptions for 28 yards.
Dave Alston led the Weevils on the ground for the second consecutive week, turning 21 carries into 130 yards and a touchdown, averaging 6.2 yards per attempt. McCoy added 29 yards and a touchdown on two carries, including a 33-yard scoring run to open the night. Forkner and Parker Bruno each added 25 rushing yards.
Defensively, Rashaad Jackson led Arkansas-Monticello with eight total tackles, including five solo stops. Nino Betances followed with six tackles and also blocked a Henderson State punt late in the second quarter. Keith Wells Jr., Jayden Parker and Cayden Dominey each recorded five tackles. Keyon Clark forced a fumble, while Mekhi Dukes recovered Henderson State's opening-drive fumble.
Charles Stinson was perfect on the night, converting all three PAT attempts and connecting on a 29-yard field goal in the second quarter.

- 10:53 - UAM | After the Weevil defense forced a fumble on Henderson State's opening possession, Arkansas-Monticello needed just three plays to capitalize. DT McCoy broke free for a 33-yard touchdown run, giving UAM an early 7-0 advantage.
- 04:40 - HSU | Henderson State tied the game at 7-7 on a 5-yard passing touchdown.
Second Quarter
- 14:04 – HSU | Henderson State took a 14-7 lead on a 32-yard passing touchdown.
- 07:28 – HSU | A 1-yard rushing touchdown extended the Reddies' advantage to 21-7.
- 03:14 – UAM | The Weevils responded with a nine-play, 63-yard drive. Charles Stinson finished the possession with a 29-yard field goal, cutting the deficit to 21-10.
- 00:49 – UAM | Nino Betances blocked a Henderson State punt to give UAM possession at the HSU 30-yard line. Four plays later, Drew Forkner connected with Isaiah Roberts for a 13-yard touchdown, pulling the Weevils within four at 21-17.
- 00:07 – HSU | Henderson State scored on a 59-yard passing touchdown to take a 28-17 lead into halftime.
Fourth Quarter
- 13:32 – UAM | Arkansas-Monticello opened the fourth quarter by completing a 12-play, 87-yard drive. Forkner broke free for a 28-yard run before Parker Bruno carried for 12 yards to the HSU four-yard line. Dave Alston finished the drive with a 4-yard touchdown run, pulling UAM back within four at 28-24.
- 12:34 – HSU | Henderson State answered with a 48-yard passing touchdown, extending its lead to 35-24.
