MONTICELLO, Ark. – The Boll Weevil football team will hit the road for Bethany, Oklahoma, on Saturday to take on Southern Nazarene University in Week five of the 2026 campaign.
Arkansas-Monticello enters the matchup with momentum after taking down the Wonder Boys of Arkansas Tech in Week four to earn its first win of the season. The Boll Weevils will look to carry that momentum on the road as they prepare to face the Crimson Storm.

The Boll Weevils enter Week five with a 1-3 record after earning their first win of the season against Arkansas Tech in Week four. Monticello currently ranks sixth in the GAC in scoring and fourth in total offense, averaging 25.8 points and 381 yards of offense per game. The Boll Weevils also rank seventh in the conference in rushing offense, averaging 161.5 yards per contest. Defensively, UAM ranks ninth in total defense, allowing 442.3 yards per game, and eighth in scoring defense, giving up 31.3 points per contest. Offensively, running back
Dave Alston leads the ground game, averaging 100.75 rushing yards per contest.
Braylon Henry leads the team in rushing touchdowns with four on the season. In the receiving game,
Michael Lott and
DT McCoy have emerged as top targets for UAM. Lott has totaled 212 receiving yards on 16 receptions with two touchdowns, while McCoy has recorded 174 yards on 13 receptions.
LAST MEETING
Arkansas-Monticello defeated the Crimson Storm 23-9 at home in the 2025 season. The Boll Weevils posted 354 yards of total offense in the contest. Quarterback
Tavion Faulk led the air attack, connecting with 14 different receivers on 23 total completions for 149 passing yards.
Chasden Collins led the rushing game with 73 net yards on 6 attempts, averaging 12.2 yards per carry and a long of 30. The UAM defense was led by
Ghee Evans and
Kartrell Townsend, who saw a combined 23 total tackles. Evans grabbed 17 total with five assisted tackles and 12 solo, while Townsend grabbed four solo and two assists.
All-TIME SERIES
UAM led the all-time series, 9-3, with the last win for the Boll Weevils in 2025. The home contest concluded with a 23-9 win. The largest margin of victory for the Weevils came during the 2015 season with a 51-10 win. The Weevils average 30.25 points against the Crimson Storm.
