After two years of campaigning, the Kenneth H. Hunt Athletic Performance Center held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sept. 30, 2023, inside the newly renovated 4,000-square-foot weight room.
The $1.3 million project was completed in late summer of 2023 and was completely funded by private gifts. The performance center includes a state-of-the-art weight room and a 3,000-square-foot athletic training area that student-athletes can utilize in their performance on and off the field, court, or course.
The new facility is connected to Steelman Fieldhouse, on the east side of the building, located just south of baseball's center field fence. The Kenneth H. Hunt Athletic Performance Center includes brand-new strength training equipment, cardio equipment, rubber flooring, televisions, and a sound system.
