Krystal Shipp was hired as UAM's head cheer coach in July of 2014.
Shipp first began her coaching career in 2001 at Tenas Gymnastics in Russellville, Arkansas. She then moved to Conway, Arkansas to coach at Cheer Force Allstars at Sonshine Academy. She led many all-star teams to state and national championships during her six years at Cheer Force.
She then moved to Jonesboro, Arkansas where she coached the Valley View Senior High Cheerleaders and the Paragould Champion All-Stars for two years. She and her husband then moved back to Russellville in 2011, where Shipp choreographed routines and helped coach the Russellville High School cheerleaders.
In 2016, the UAM Cheerleaders got runner up at Canam Nationals in Myrtle Beach, SC. In 2017, the UAM Cheerleaders won national champions at Jamfest Nationals in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Shipp holds a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education obtained in 2007 from the University of Central Arkansas. She also has her master’s degree in Educational Leadership obtained in 2013 from Arkansas Tech University.
She is married to Kyle Shipp, Arkansas-Monticello Football Offensive Coordinator.
