Blain Bell

Coach Blain Bell joined the University of Arkansas at Monticello Athletics staff as the Director of Strength and Conditioning ahead of the 2026-27 academic year.

Bell arrives in Monticello after gaining experience with several NCAA Division I athletic programs, including the University of Washington, the University of Kansas, and the University of Houston. Most recently, he served as an Assistant Sports Science Intern at Washington, where he assisted with football athlete monitoring and performance testing while utilizing advanced sports science technology.

Prior to Washington, Bell worked as a Sports Performance Coach Intern at Kansas, focusing on football training, quarterback development, Pro Day preparation, and return-to-play programming. He also completed a Strength and Conditioning Internship at Houston, where he helped develop a specialized quarterback lifting program, managed Catapult GPS systems, and coached student-athletes during strength and conditioning sessions.

In addition to his collegiate experience, Bell is the founder of BB Speed Performance, where he provides speed, agility, and performance training for youth and high school athletes through individualized programming and camps.

Bell earned his Bachelor of Health Sciences degree from the University of Kansas in 2024, along with an undergraduate certificate in Strength and Conditioning. He later completed a Master of Science in Education with a concentration in Health, Sport Management, and Exercise Science at Kansas in 2025.

Bell brings a data-driven approach to athletic performance, combining sports science, strength and conditioning, and athlete development to help Boll Weevil and Cotton Blossom student-athletes reach their full potential.
