Josh Qualls enters his fifth season with the Boll Weevil Football program in 2025, his third year as the Offensive Coordinator / Quarterbacks coach, after returning to Arkansas-Monticello in 2023.
Coach Qualls, in his first season with the Weevils, coached the wide receivers and led the 2018 Weevils to a bowl game appearance with a 6-6 record. During the 2019 season, he coached the tight ends and H-backs.
Before returning to Monticello, Coach Qualls saw a stint at Middle Tennessee State University as the offensive graduate assistant with the Blue Raiders, and at Cumberland University as the Offensive Coordinator.
Before his coaching days, he played collegiately as a quarterback for four years at Arkansas Tech University. As a student at Arkansas Tech University, Qualls was on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and was a National Representative for the Great American Conference (GAC).
The Rogers, Ark. native is a graduate from Arkansas Tech in 2017 with a degree in Rehabilitation Science. He earned his Master's of physical education and coaching from Arkansas-Monticello in 2021.
Coach Qualls lives in Monticello with his dog, Boh.
