Kristin Ingram was hired as UAM's head women's and men's golf coach in October of 2016.
Ingram came to UAM after spending the previous two years as an assistant women's and men's golf coach at the University of West Alabama.
While at West Alabama Ingram helped lead the women's golf team to one tournament team title, along with two individual medalists in a season. She also served as the acting head coach in various tournaments which included a second place finish in the Mississippi College Invitational with the men's team, and with the women's team where she guided them to a third place finish in the conference tournament.Â
Ingram's responsibilities while at West Alabama also included managing practices and competitions, leading strength and conditioning sessions, recruitment of potential athletes, fundraising for both the women's and men's teams and the recruitment of team sponsors.Â
Prior to joining the staff at West Alabama, Ingram was a member of the Symetra Tour where she competed in 12 tournaments, scoring an average of 75 in 2012.
Ingram graduated from the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in Communication Studies. While at the University of Arkansas, she was a four-year letter winner as a member of the women's golf team, where she competed in 54 tournaments as an intercollegiate golfer. She placed in the Top 10 in the 2009 and 2010 SEC Women's Championship and finished sixth in the 2008 NCAA Division I West Regionals.
A 2005 AJGA Jerry Cole Sportsmanship Award Winner, Ingram is originally from Russia where she was adopted and moved to the United States in 1993.
