Tripp Dodd

Coach Tripp Dodd begins his first season as the defensive line coach for the Boll Weevils at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. Dodd brings nearly a decade of collegiate and high-level high school coaching experience, with a background rooted in player development, recruiting, and building physical, disciplined defensive fronts.

Dodd began his collegiate coaching career in 2016 as a recruiting intern at Georgia Tech, gaining experience in evaluation, recruiting operations, and player personnel. He moved into on-field coaching in 2017 at Marietta High School, a nationally recognized program, before joining the staff at Valdosta State University in 2018. While at Valdosta State, Dodd was part of a national championship team and remained on staff through the 2020 season with Coach Goff.

In 2021, Dodd joined Kennesaw State University, contributing to a conference championship season before moving to McNeese State University in early 2022. Later that spring, he relocated to Lakeland, Florida, where he spent four seasons coaching defensive line at Southeastern University, helping develop one of the most consistent and productive defensive units in the program’s history. His teams broke several school records defensively, including coaching the school's first defensive player of the year in 2025.

Known for his detailed approach, physical development standards, and recruiting ties throughout the Southeast, Dodd now brings that experience to Monticello as part of the Boll Weevils coaching staff.

Originally from Marietta, Georgia, Coach Dodd now resides in Monticello with his wife, Kenzie, and their dog, Blazer.
