MONTICELLO – The University of Arkansas at Monticello volleyball team was swept by Henderson State on Tuesday by final game scores of 25-16, 25-17 and 25-22.
With its second loss to the Lady Reddies this season, UAM drops to 2-20 overall and 0-7 in the Gulf South Conference, while HSU improves its record to 12-10 overall and 4-4 in the GSC.
The Lady Reddies outhit UAM by a final tally of .276 to .034. The Cotton Blossoms were held to 29 kills on 117 attempts with 25 errors, while the Lady Reddies totaled 41 kills on 105 attempts with only 12 errors.
For UAM, senior Dayna Moyer led the team with eight kills on 26 attempts with only two errors for a final .231 percentage. HSU was led by Robin Law’s match-high 21 kills.
Senior Vikki Crisco aided the UAM offensive attack with 25 assists, while senior Stephanie Hatten paced the defense with 17 digs.
The Cotton Blossoms return to action this weekend at home with a 2 p.m. match against Jackson State on Saturday, October 23.
