MAGNOLIA, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello volleyball team was swept by host Southern Arkansas on Tuesday by final game scores of 19-25, 15-25 and 22-25.

With the loss, UAM drops to 2-24 overall and 0-9 in the Gulf South Conference, while SAU improves to 15-12 overall and 3-7 in the GSC.

The Lady Muleriders outhit UAM with a .302 to .155 final margin. UAM had 30 kills and 14 errors on 103 attempts, while SAU posted 48 kills and 10 errors on 126 attempts.

Individually, senior Monica Perkins-Miller led UAM with nine kills on 25 attempts with only three errors for a final .240 hitting percentage. Sophomore teammate MacKenzie Hubbard added eight kills in the loss.

SAU was led by Maggie Glover’s 13 kills and Courtney Smith’s 12 kills.
