SEARCY, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello volleyball team was swept by Harding University on Tuesday at Rhodes Field House by final game scores of 25-13, 25-17 and 25-12.
With the loss, UAM drops to 1-16 overall and 0-4 in the Gulf South Conference, while Harding improves to 8-8 overall and 3-1 in the GSC.
As a team, UAM just finished in the positive with 24 kills and 23 errors 104 attempts for a final .010 hitting percentage. Individually, senior Monica Perkins-Miller led the team with seven kills on 20 attempts with only two errors for a final .250 percentage.
Harding hit .200 with 34 kills on 100 attempts with only 14 errors. HU’s Molly Arnold had a match-high 14 kills on 29 attempts with only two errors.
The Cotton Blossoms head back to Russellville on Thursday to face Arkansas Tech at 7 p.m. inside Tucker Coliseum. UAM went 1-2 in Russellville this past weekend in Arkansas Tech’s Hampton Inn Classic.
