RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello volleyball team suffered a 3-0 loss to Arkansas Tech on Thursday at Tucker Coliseum. Final game scores were 25-14, 25-12 and 26-24.
With the loss, UAM drops to 1-17 overall and 0-5 in the Gulf South Conference, while Arkansas Tech improves to 19-4 overall and 4-1 in the GSC.
The Cotton Blossoms hit .090 as a team with 27 kills and 19 errors on 89 total attempts. Individually, sophomore MacKenzie Hubbard led the team with seven kills on 14 attempts with no errors for a final .500 hitting percentage.
Senior Vikki Crisco aided the UAM offensive attack with 23 assists, while senior Stephanie Hatten paced the defense with 11 digs.
Arkansas Tech hit .347 as a team and was led by Kelly O’Malley’s 14 kills and Sarah Von Lienen’s 11 kills.
The Cotton Blossoms conclude its current five-game road swing this Saturday, October 9 in Memphis, Tenn. against Christian Brothers. First serve is set for 1 p.m. at Canale Arena.
