MONTICELLO, Ark. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello volleyball team fell 3-1 in close sets to Southeastern Oklahoma tonight.
UAM (3-18, 1-8 GAC) took control of the first set midway through and closed out the 25-20 win to go up 1-0. The score was tied at twelve before the Blossoms started inching away, though they never led by more than five.
Southeastern (3-18, 1-8 GAC) took the final thee sets, but no one set was decided by more than five points. They came back in the second set, taking over early and leading throughout for the match-tying 25-20 win. The third and fourth sets both went 22-25 to the Storm to give Southeastern the win.
The Blossoms played well all night long, but could never seem to get the closing points in the final sets to drop their eighth conference match of the season.
UAM will return to action tomorrow night as they host Southwestern Oklahoma. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. from Steelman Field House.
