ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The UAM volleyball team closed out the regular season tonight, falling in three at Ouachita Baptist.
The first set went to extra points to decide, as the Tigers (18-12, 9-7 GAC) edged out the Blossoms (7-22, 4-12 GAC) 26-24. OBU took the second set 25-20 and then rolled in the final set, 25-14 to take the final match before the Great American Tournament.
UAM posted a .053 hitting percentage on the night compared to .242 for the Tigers. Amy Kleypas had a game-high 12 kills and 12 digs on the night. Amy Bazemore had 30 assists. Allison Beardsley came in right behind Kleypas with 11 digs.
With the loss, the Blossoms will go into the tournament with the eighth-seed. They will face Arkansas Tech in the third match of the tournament at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 11.
