UAM gave the Reddies a run in the final three minutes, trimming the Reddie lead to single-digits at the 2:07 mark following a three-pointer by junior Sergio Crowe.

Crowe struck again just over a minute later with a three-pointer to cap a 7-1 run to trim HSU’s lead to four points with 56 seconds remaining. The Boll Weevils got to within three points on an offensive put back by junior Ricardo Hall with 38 seconds remaining.

A pair of missed three-pointers by UAM in the final 25 seconds sealed the win for the HSU, which snapped a five-game losing streak with the victory.

Junior LA Farmer led all scorers with 26 points on 9-of-26 shooting, including two three pointers. Hall trailed close behind with 25 points. Hall and Farmer each added seven rebounds to their final totals. Crowe tallied his sixth double of the season with a final total of 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Josh French led the Reddies with a double-double of 23 points and 15 rebounds. Jonathan Simms and Zech Smith also reached double-figures for HSU with 16 and 11 points, respectively.
