MONTICELLO – The University of Arkansas at Monticello volleyball team suffered a three-set loss to Harding on Tuesday evening inside Steelman Fieldhouse.
Final game scores were 25-18, 25-22 and 25-15. With the loss, UAM drops to 8-16 overall and 4-5 in the Great American Conference, while Harding remains in a tie for first place in the league with an overall record of 18-6 and an 8-0 mark in the league.
As a team, the Cotton Blossoms collected 32 kills on 109 attempts with 20 errors for a .110 percentage. The Lady Bisons tallied 48 kills on 107 attempts with 14 errors for a .318 percentage.
Individually, the Cotton Blossoms were led by sophomore Christina Rini and senior Amy Kleypas with seven kills each. Kleypas added a team-best 12 digs for her 11
th double-double of the season. Junior Amy Bazemore contributed to the UAM offensive attack with 11 assists.
Mollie Arnold and Marindia Turner led the Lady Bisons with 16 and 13 kills, respectively.
The Cotton Blossoms step out of GAC play on Wednesday to face Arkansas-Pine Bluff. UAM defeated UAPB 3-1 earlier this season. Wednesday’s first serve is set for 7 p.m. inside Steelman Fieldhouse.
