MONTICELLO – Senior Tori Bozzo tied her career-high with 20 kills in Saturday's four-set loss to Southwestern Oklahoma State at home. Final game scores were 26-28, 18-25, 25-16 and 26-28.

Bozzo reached the 20-kill mark for the first time this season and just the second time of here two-year UAM career. She had 54 attempts and five errors in the loss for a .278 percentage. She also added 10 digs for her second straight double-double and fourth of the season.

Junior Jessica Cuba reached a career-high in the loss by totaling 23 defensive digs, marking the first time she had at least 20 digs in a match this season. She also added seven kills on 26 swings with four errors.

Junior Frankie Zaragoza and senior Amy Bazemore also reached double-digits defensively with 16 and 13 digs, respectively. Bazemore notched her fifth 30-assist match of the season with 33.

As a team, UAM (9-10, 2-4 GAC) hit .174 with 51 kills and 24 errors on 155 attempts. SWOSU (6-10, 3-2 GAC) hit .186 with 51 kills and 22 errors on 156attempts.

Carly Zak led the Bulldogs with 17 kills. Joey Collins added 15.

The Blossoms return to the court this upcoming Tuesday, October 8 on the road against Mississippi Valley State. First serve is set for 6 p.m.
