ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello volleyball team was unable to finish off a 2-0 lead as the Ouachita Baptist Tigers rallied back for a five-set victory on Tuesday night. Final game scores were 25-21,25-13, 17-25, 21-25 and 6-15.

After taking a close opening set, the Blossoms (12-16, 2-10 Great American Conference) powered past the Tigers (14-10, 7-5 GAC) in the second set, using a .500 hitting percentage and no errors for a lop-sided 12-point victory.

However, UAM's percentage decreased over the next three sets to allow OBU to seal the come-from-behind victory. The Tigers finished the match by totaling seven kills and only one error in the final set, while UAM was limited to just two kills.

Individually, the Blossoms were led by a career-high 12 kills from junior Kayla Macadlo, who also tallied a career-high 18 digs for the first double-double of the year. Senior Tori Bozzo also had a double-double with 11 kills and a team-high 19 digs.

Junior Frankie Zaragoza led the Blossoms with a career-high 25 digs. Seniors Amy Bazemore and Emily Smith also reached double-digits with 15 and 11 digs, respectively.

As a team, UAM finished the match with a .096 percentage after totaling 48 kills and 31 errors on 177 attempts. OBU hit .125 with 48 kills and 25 errors on 184 attempts.

Abby Pickett led the Tigers with 14 kills.

The Blossoms return to the court next Monday, November 11 at Arkansas-Pine Bluff for the final non-conference match of the 2013 season. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
