DURANT, Okla. — The University of Arkansas at Monticello softball team picked up a pair of victories on the second day of the Southeastern Regional Invitational. The Cotton Blossoms defeated St. Mary’s 6-5 in the morning game, featuring a game-winning double from freshman Kali Piha in the bottom of the seventh inning. UAM then responded with an offensive surge in the second game of the day to defeat Drury 9-1. Complete game statistics will be posted at uamsports.com once they become available.

The Cotton Blossoms (6-2) close out the Southeastern Regional Invitational on Sunday, February 10 with a 2 p.m. meeting against Missouri Southern State and a 4 p.m. rematch against Washburn. UAM defeated Washburn 11-3 in five innings in last weekend’s Hampton Inn Classic in Monticello.
