MONTICELLO – The University of Arkansas at Monticello volleyball team secured a four-set victory over Union University on Friday morning at the Hampton Inn Invitational inside Steelman Field House. Final game scores were 23-25, 25-14, 25-17 and 25-14.

After going down one set, the Blossoms (4-3) responded with three straight defensive performances of allowing less than 20 points in each set. UAM hit.185 for the match with the highest mark coming in the third set with nine kills and only one error for a .250 percentage.

UAM held the Lady Bulldogs (1-5) to a zero hitting percentage in the secondset, a .111 percentage in the third set and a negative percentage in the fourth and final frame.

Junior Jessica Cuba led the Blossoms with 12 kills on 34 attempts with justthree errors for a .265 percentage. Junior Christina Rini also reached double-digits in the category with 10 kills on 24 attempts with only three errors for a .292 percentage.

Senior Tusalava Kuaea paced the UAM defense with 15 digs. UAM totaled 12 team blocks in the team, led by junior Gabriella Jandotti with five a match-highfive block solos.
