SEARCY, Arkansas – The University of Arkansas at Monticello volleyball team fell to Harding in three sets on Thursday night by final scores of 25-17, 25-12 and 25-18.
With the loss, the Blossoms drop to 9-10 overall and 4-5 in the Great American Conference, while the Lady Bisons improve to 13-6 overall and 7-2 in the GAC.
UAM finished the match with 29 kills and 15 errors on 108 swings for a .130 percentage, while Harding countered with 46 kills and 12 errors on 107 swings for a .318 percentage.
Junior Sydni Schulz led the Blssoms with 10 kills and only one error for a .310 individual percentage, marking her fourth straight match with double-digit kills. Seniors Jessica Cuba and Tasha Evans each added six kills in the loss. Cuba turned in a team-high 13 assists, while Evans led the team with four blocks.
Junior Lani Kaiwi led the Blossoms in digs with 12.
Harding's Marindia Turner led all players in the match with 12 kills. Liv Savage added nine and Erica Heim had eight.
The Blossoms are back in action on Thursday, October 16 on the road against Arkansas-Pine Bluff. First serve is set for 6 p.m. UAM defeated UAPB in four sets earlier this season in Monticello.
