HOT SPRINGS, Arkansas –
The seventh-seeded University of Arkansas at Monticello volleyball team was eliminated from the 2014 Great American Conference Championship Tournament with a three-set loss to No. 2 seed Southern Nazarene on Thursday afternoon at Bank of the Ozarks Arena.

With the loss, the Blossoms finalize the 2014 season at 15-15 overall. The Crimson Storm improves to 21-9 overall and advances to Friday's semifinals round.

Final game scores were 25-22, 25-11 and 25-14. After a back-and-forth opening set, UAM allowed SNU to record comfortable wins in the last two sets due in part to poor hitting percentages. As a whole, UAM totaled 23 kills and 22 errors on 133 swings for a .008 percentage. Southern Nazarene countered with 45 kills and 15 errors on 128 swings for a .227 team percentage.

UAM sophomore Kedra Johnson accounted for nearly half of UAM's offense with 11 kills and just four errors on 23 attempts for a .304 individual percentage. Junior Sydni Schulz followed with five kills.

Junior Lani Kaiwi paced UAM's defense with 15 digs. Junior Kaila Kikugawa turned in her 13th double-double of the season with 19 assists and 11 digs.
