MONTICELLO — The University of Arkansas at Monticello volleyball team lost in three sets to Great American Conference leader Arkansas Tech on Tuesday night at home.

Final game scores were 25-14, 25-22 and 25-12. The Blossoms drop to 9-16 overall and 1-12 in GAC matches, while Tech stays unbeaten in league games at 13-0 and moves to 23-5 overall.

As a team, the Blossoms combined for 28 kills and 21 errors on 93 swings for a .075 percentage, while the Golden Suns countered with 42 kills and six errors on 86 attempts for a .419 percentage.

Junior Carolina Gasparini led the Blossoms offensively with nine kills, while also chipping in with seven digs. Senior Sydni Schuls followed with eight kills. Sophomore Aubrey Harrison had seven.

Senior Kaila Kikugawa paced the UAM defense with nine digs. Juniors Dianna Etienne and Alissya Theis led UAM in assists with 14 and 11, respectively.

UAM continues its three-match home stand this Thursday night against Ouachita. First serve is set for 6 p.m. inside Steelman Field House.
