MONTICELLO — The University of Arkansas at Monticello softball team will travel to Russellville, Arkansas this weekend to take on Great American Conference opponent Arkansas Tech in a four-game series this Friday, and Saturday.

The Golden Suns come into this weekend after posting a 3-1 record for the series win over Southeastern Oklahoma State in Durant, Oklahoma previously. Offensively ATU is led by Megan Goodnight with a .361 batting average on the year, and Jalissa Gum who is batting .312 overall. Goodnight is the team leader in runs batted in (33), home runs (8), and slugging percentage (.619) as well. In the circle ATU is guided by Gum with an overall earned run average of 1.44 this season and she leads the program in total wins with 12, and in strikeouts with 241.
