@UAMSOFTBALL TRAVELS TO OUACHITA, EARLY CLOSES IN ON RECORD

MONTICELLO — The University of Arkansas at Monticello softball team heads to Arkadelphia, Arkansas to face Great American Conference foe Ouachita in a four-game series this Friday, and Saturday. 

Head Coach Alvy Early is now just two wins away from tying the Arkansas all-time collegiate wins record for the state which currently stands at 1,161 victories, held by former Arkansas Razorbacks baseball coach Norm DeBriyn. Early has accumulated 1,159 total wins during his time at Arkansas-Monticello while coaching softball, and women's basketball.

SCOUTING OUACHITA BAPTIST
The Tigers are coming off a doubleheader sweep of GAC opponent and rival Henderson State at home in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Leading OUA offensive this season has been Macy Wilson (.330), and Macy Nantz (.321), each hitting over .300 up to this point in the year. Wilson leads the program in total hits (38), and on base percentage (.403), while Nantz is the team leader in runs batted in (19), home runs (6), and doubles (8). In the circle for Ouachita, the Tigers are anchored by Nantz as well with a 2.98 earned run average, and three wins. Kelsey O'Brien is the strikeout leader with 71, and also leads the squad in total wins with seven.
