MONTICELLO — The University of Arkansas at Monticello baseball team fell to non-conference opponent Mississippi College Tuesday afternoon at home, by a final score of 11-8.

  • 1st Inning: Dylan Borman surged UAM ahead to begin the game with a two-run double to right field for the 2-0 lead.
  • 1st Inning: Jordan Johnson then reached base on a fielding error to see another two runs cross the plate.
  • 7th Inning: Rowton doubled to left center which knocked in a pair of runs to give the Weevils the 6-4 advantage. 
  • 8th Inning: Wagner singled through the left side of the field to bring home Weiss to extend the lead out to 7-4. 
  • 8th Inning: Brian Ray was then able to score on a passed ball to put the lead at 8-4, however the Weevils could not hold on, as Mississippi College stormed back for the 11-8 victory.

  • Arkansas-Monticello will next take on Southeastern Oklahoma State on the road in Durant, Oklahoma this weekend in a three-game series with game one set for Friday, February 23, with first pitch slated for 2:00 p.m.
