RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. — The University of Arkansas at Monticello women's basketball team was defeated by the Golden Suns of Arkansas Tech Saturday afternoon, 91-66. 
 

• The Blossoms finish the year at 7-20, (3-19 GAC) overall.
• Arkansas Tech earns the second overall seed in the GAC Tournament at 23-3, (19-3 GAC) this season.
   
• Brittnee Broadway recorded her fifth 20 plus point game of the season with 21 total today. 
   

• Brittnee Broadway — 21 points, 2 assists
• Charlynn Perry — 11 points, 4 assists
• Mackenzie Johnson — 10 points, 7 rebounds

• This match-up featured a closely contested battle throughout the first quarter of play with ATU leading 16-15 by the period's end. 
• The Golden Suns began to pull away and hold a steady lead midway through the second quarter, however the Blossoms saw big three-pointers from Taylor Collins and Broadway to put the halftime score at 41-32. 
• UAM finished the half shooting 41 percent overall from the field, compared to that of Arkansas Tech who shot 57 percent overall in the half. 
   

• Arkansas Tech surged ahead in the third quarter unfortunately, holding a double-digit lead through the entire period, extending the advantage out to 71-44 heading into the fourth quarter. 
• Arkansas-Monticello could not recover from that large deficit in the fourth and final period of play, as ATU claimed the GAC victory 91-66 by the end.
