BARTLESVILLE, Okla. — The University of Arkansas at Monticello men's basketball team defeated East Central in the quarterfinal round of the GAC Championship Tournament, 97-86 in double overtime. 
 

• UAM improves to 18-11 on the year.
• ECU finishes the season at 15-12 overall. 
  
   

• Derylton Hill —  27 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists
• Cobe Goosby — 19 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists
• Keelin Jackson — 18 points, 8 rebounds
• Karim Mawuenyega — 12 points, 9 rebounds
   

• Arkansas-Monticello jumped out to an 18-7 lead over the Tigers midway through the opening half of play in this quarterfinal match-up. 
• The Weevils continued to hold an advantage over East Central throughout the first half, leading 36-23 with made shots from Hill, and Goosby. 
• UAM went into the half up 44-31 after a made three-pointer from Karim to give the Weevils a huge momentum swing. 
   

• The Weevils continued to hold a double digit lead throughout most of the second half, leading 59-49 after a made jumper from Stephon Gordon. 
• The Tigers however began to generate its' comeback and ultimately tied up the game with just over two minutes left to play at 72-72. 
• Each program went on to trade baskets, with the score being knotted up at 74-74 by the end of regulation. 
   

• Both this squads went on to continue trading made shots in this first overtime period as each team tallied six points to be all tied up at 80-80. 

 

• The Weevils caught fire in overtime number two, jumping out to a 92-80 lead with made free throws from Hill and Goosby to lead the way. 
• UAM was able to seal off the GAC Tournament quarterfinal win over East Central with more free throws from Mawuenyega, and Hill. 

• The Weevils will now face No. 2 overall seed Northwestern Oklahoma State University tomorrow, Saturday, March 3 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma in the semifinal round with tip-off slated for 2:15 p.m.
